- In January many churches observed Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, which is a reminder of the tragic decision made by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1973 that legalized abortion. This is a day to mourn the lives lost to abortion over these last 44 years, a number estimated at over 68 million babies. It is also a day to pray for the unborn and to address the men and women who have participated in abortion with a message of love and forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We appreciate the churches who participated and thank those who acknowledged the impact our pregnancy center has on our community. Several of our volunteers represented FPRC at local churches and spoke of how we promote, preserve and protect life. Thank you to Fayetteville Christian Church for inviting Cindi Smith to speak. (Cindi is shown with Alan Turner, Chairman of the Missions Team). Frank and Alesia Brown spoke at Redemption Fellowship, and Susan Stohrer spoke at Grace Evangelical Church. - Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center was one of 33 ministries included in ENGAGE ’17, the five-day missions conference in January at First Baptist Church Peachtree City. It was a great group (see picture) representing ministries on the campus of FBC PTC and those serving our community, surrounding counties, our country and several continents. We had many guests visit our display (see picture). Luci enjoyed being with others whose ministries focus on sharing the gospel through addressing needs in our community and promoting the dignity of human life. Shown L-R are Cathy Berggren, Executive Director of Real Life Center, Susie Brown, Director of the Healing Bridge Clinic, Luci and Gil Moromisato of Operation Mobilization USA Freedom Challenge Team.
