Niki Mixon, FPRC Nurse Manager, taught our Breast Feeding Class on August 1st and had seven participants.
Also on August 1st Emily Griffin, Pregnancy Counselor, with Lifeline Children’s Services paid us a visit. Emily will be conducting adoption training for FPRC volunteers in October.
On August 3rd Luci was a guest at the Quilters Guild of the Southern Crescent meeting where FPRC was recognized as a charity to receive donations of their beautiful quilts. Thank you to Jean Shealy, meeting facilitator, for inviting us. Annette Forlines is pictured presenting the quilts to Luci.
Luci was honored to be invited to the groundbreaking ceremony of the Carl J Mowell Funeral Homes Ossuary at Westminister Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. We are grateful for our relationship with the Mowell family and the contribution they make to the community. Luci is shown with April Mowell who had the vision for an ossuary and has been a driving force in making it a reality.
We were excited to have a great class for our Fall Volunteer Training! We packed a lot into two days on August 24th and 25th and are looking forward to putting these new volunteers to work!
Chris Perkins, West Region Field Representative for Senator David Perdue, toured the Center on August 27th . Chris enjoyed a roundtable discussion with Luci along with Angela Weeks, office manager, and Loren Williams, community relations coordinator.
On August 30th Luci enjoyed spending the day in Atlanta with ClubCorp, learning the basics of fundraising through golf tournaments. Just in time for our 2018 Golf4Life!
