On May 7th, Loren Williams (Community Relations Coordinator), delivered nurse appreciation gifts to the nurses of the Fayette County highschools.  Loren (on left) is pictured with Traci Ennis of Whitewater High school.

 

On Monday May 13th Loren Williams and Amy Kane went to Midwest Food Bank for our monthly pickup.

 

On May 7th, Kim Ketola (Abortion Recovery Support Coordinator), spoke at the Conservative Women of Prayer event where she shared the mission of FPRC and presented pro-life apologetics training.

 

Luci spoke at Southpointe Bible Fellowship on May 12, Mother’s Day. Pastor Wayne Turner prepared for the day a week earlier by posting a video on Facebook announcing Luci’s visit and promoting the work of  Fayette PRC. On Mother’s Day, Luci was presented a check for the Center from the church love offering and donations for our clothes closet. We are excited to partner with Southpointe Bible Fellowship!

 

On May 13th Luci attended the ribbon cutting for the new location of the Real Life Center. This wonderful ministry, now located on the campus of Dogwood Church, is a great referral source for Fayette PRC. Real Life Center Executive Director Cathy Berggren has been a ministry leader in our community who has had a major influence on other ministry leaders, especially our own Director Luci. We are excited for the growth and success of Real Life Center. Congratulations, Cathy and Real Life Center!

 

BB&T approved us for their Lighthouse Program, and on Tuesday, May 14th they brought much needed items for the clothes closet.   Pictured from left to right is Katina Johnson from the  Fayetteville branch, Tammy Powell manager of Fayetteville branch, Amy Kane (Clothes Closet Coordinator), and Carrie Snow (clothes closet volunteer).

 

Emily Griffin of Lifeline Children’s Services came to Fayette PRC for a visit on May 14th. Emily has taught a class on adoption for our volunteers. We are pleased to have Lifeline as an adoption agency referral.

 

On May 22nd, Andrea Sisler, Assistant Director, and Tere Turner, Volunteer, with I-58 Mission, Inc. visited and explored ideas for implementing lessons for moms similar to our Earn While You Learn program. I-58 partners with Fayette PRC to provide help to moms and dads; they have a special shopping day each quarter for Fayette PRC moms.

 

On May 23rd Luci and Angela were at Heritage Bank in Fayetteville and joined members of the Heritage Community Foundation for their presentation to the Center of a grant for our Child Safety Class.  Mark Dose, Executive Director of the Foundation, made the presentation. We are grateful for the support of the Heritage Community Foundation and the generosity of the employees of Heritage Bank for their contributions to the Foundation.

 

On May 30th, Board Member David Conley accompanied Georgia Representative Karen Mathiak and John Plageman for a tour of Fayette PRC. We appreciate the work of Representative Mathiak on Georgia’s “Heartbeat Bill” and her steadfast pro-life position. Pictured from left to right are Luci, John, David, and Karen.
