On June 1st Luci Hough and Nurse Manager Niki Garner joined the ladies of Peachtree City Church of Christ for a paint party. Thank you to Christie McCullough, FPRC volunteer sonographer, for the invitation and for introducing us to Pastor Stan Butt and his wife, Georgia.
Woolsey Baptist Church provided workers on Wednesday evening, June 5th, to help with various jobs at the Center. We are grateful for their visit and the improvements they made. Thank you to Pastor Steven Chambers for making the arrangements.
Nurse Manager Niki Garner traveled to Rincon, GA, to ride along with their mobile medical unit team on June 6th. Niki brought back a lot of ideas and information that will be helpful as we launch our own Stork bus!
Lynette Mathis of the Taylor Foundation visited our Center on June 11th. We are grateful for the support of the Taylor Foundation.
On June 21st Luci Hough participated in the Dinner for Life panel discussion. Thank you to Steve Brown for planning and facilitating the program. Panelists spoke to a sold-out audience about the work of pregnancy help centers, the gift of life and testimony of a mother who defied advice to abort her baby, the targeting of the black community by abortion clinics, the work of Georgia Life Alliance, and the significance of Georgia’s Heartbeat Bill. Excerpts from the presentation will be shared on social media.
On June 27th Luci Hough and Volunteer Debbie Ragsdale attended the Retirement Benefit Dinner honoring Becky Smith. Becky was honored by Fayette FACTOR board, staff and volunteers along with numerous elected officials, representatives of law enforcement, and heads of other non-profit organizations. Before serving as Executive Director of FACTOR for fifteen years, Becky was director of Fayette PRC for ten years. Thank you, Becky, for 25 years of service to Fayette County!
Summer Interns from New City Church, led by Intern Director Amanda Wishon, visited the Center on June 27th. We enjoyed meeting this terrific group and appreciate the help they gave us on various projects.
