- On February 5th Luci represented the Center at the WMU Super Bowl of Missions at Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Thank you to Ruth Gellerstedt, WMU Director, for inviting us to participate. - On February 9th Luci was invited by Cathy Berggren, Executive Director of Real Life Center, to attend a session of Lifework Leadership at Dogwood Church. The topic that day was worldview. Luci’s small group discussion was led by Pastor John Warnock, Fayette PRC board member. Also at that meeting was Mark Graffeo, Fayette PRC volunteer. Thank you to Pamela and David Hodge of Anchor Leadership for their work to apply business leadership principles in a dynamic community through studying Scripture and the Jesus Journey.
- Luci attended the Southside Summit, a one-day conference featuring nationally recognized speakers and many practical workshops, all contributing to the topic Moral Revolution and the Church’s Answer. Luci chose two breakout sessions dealing with counseling women. Thank you to Southside Baptist Network and Dr. Ray Gentry for a day of equipping and encouragement!
- Luci attended services at Peachtree City United Methodist Church on February 26th and was interviewed by Pastor Quincy Brown. Luci had the opportunity to describe our ministry and explain the ways to join our volunteer team. We are grateful for the support of PTC UMC! Luci is shown with Dr. Brown and Ashley Langham, Fayette PRC volunteer and church liaison.
- Nurse Manager Lesa Fulks, RN, addressed members of Heatherwood Baptist Church in Riverdale at their February WMU breakfast. We are grateful for partnering with Heatherwood and the opportunity for Lesa to share her testimony and information about Fayette PRC. Pastor Doug Johnson and his wife Carol are frequent visitors to the Center and drop in bringing gifts for our clothes closet.
- We are excited about our Spring to Life Gala dinner menu! On February 27th, Luci and Phyllis Avrit visited with Chef Roberto Correa, Executive Chef, Crowne Plaza in Peachtree City. Phyllis is shown with Chef Roberto as he presents dessert possibilities for tasting.
- On February 28th we welcomed Lt. Mike Whitlow of the Fayetteville Police Department to our Center. Lt. Whitlow gave a very helpful presentation on security measures for our organization.
