On January 15th, we were honored to be featured at Flat Creek Baptist Church. Niki Garner, Nurse Manager, spoke to adults while Susan Stohrer, Volunteer Lead Peer Counselor, spoke to the Youth. Benjamin was there for tours, and Flat Creek showered us with diapers, wipes and other items for our clothes closet. On January 16th Director Luci Hough, Office Manager Angela Weeks, Volunteer Lead Peer Counselor Debbie Ragsdale, and Volunteer Peer Counselor Trainee Sheri Castanada attended the Suicide Prevention Training facilitated by Chaplain Kenneth Coon at Dogwood Church.
On Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 19th, Luci Hough and Niki Garner were at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church. We are grateful for the warm reception and invitation for Luci to speak at both services. Niki drove Benjamin and enjoyed giving tours. Also on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 19th, representatives from FPRC spoke at several churches around the area. Carl and Phyllis spoke at All Saints Anglican Church, Debbie Ragsdale at Living Faith Fellowship, David Conley at Heatherwood Baptist in Riverdale, and Alesia Brown at Redemption Fellowship Presbyterian. We appreciate the support of so many churches in our area and for giving us the chance to spread the word about the Center and what we do to promote the sanctity of human life.
On Sunday, January 26th, Niki drove Benjamin to Carriage Lane Presbyterian, and she and Angela gave tours. Niki spoke to the congregation about our efforts to Go Mobile and how much we value the support of Carriage Lane.
Church of God of Prophecy in Fayetteville observed Sanctity of Human Life Sunday on January 26th. Thank you to Pastor Jud Timmons for inviting Luci to speak.
Our monthly Supplemental Training for Client Advocates resumed on January 27th after taking a break for the holidays. Fourteen attended the class on Using Scripture in the Counseling Room.
