Luci spoke at Woolsey Baptist Church on September 2nd and encouraged participation in their 5K to benefit Fayette PRC. Luci also took this opportunity to promote our Mobile Medical Unit project and enjoyed seeing the excitement over going mobile!

On September 4th – 7th Luci, Angela Weeks (Office Manager), and Niki Mixon (Nurse Manager) attended the Care Net Annual Conference in Atlanta. They attended workshops on many issues facing pregnancy centers and heard many inspiring keynote speakers. They also attended a dinner hosted by Save the Storks, our partners for going mobile! Luci, Angela, and Niki are pictured with Kaitlyn Crussel and Marsharne Sullivan from the Pregnancy Care Center in Jonesboro.

 

On Monday, September 10th, DiAnna Steele, Vice President of Save the Storks, visited our Center and attended our Mobile Medical Unit committee meeting.

On September 11th Luci conducted our first of five classes for single moms, Growing and Glowing. We have four moms participating in the class, and they are already growing spiritually and glowing from within.

On September 18th Luci attended the breakfast meeting of the Southern Crescent Business Network. It was great to return to this group and tell them about Golf4Life and our Mobile Medical Unit! Luci enjoyed Billy Padgett’s presentation on the Hands-Free Georgia Act.

On September 19th Luci was grateful to be invited to Flat Creek Baptist Church to meet with Pastor Josh Saefkow and liaison Rhonda Jones to discuss ways to open doors for our clients to connect with Flat Creek Baptist and to plan how we can partner to raise funds for our Mobile Medical Unit through a community event. Luci and Loren Williams, Community Relations Coordinator, attended the Real Life Center Harvest Gala on September 20th. Congratulations to Cathy Berggren (2nd from left) and the Real Life Center for a very successful event.

 

On September 26th several ladies from the Women’s group of First Baptist Church Fairburn visited the Center for a tour and brought some donations. The ladies are pictured with Angela Weeks (left) and Amy Kane (right).

 

Three clients completed our parenting class last month and earned brand new cribs and mattresses for their babies!
