Every Tuesday evening in September we held movie nights for the men in our Exploring Fatherhood Program. We showed the movies “Show Me the Father” and “Courageous” and provided pizza for the men who came.
On Tuesday, September 13th, a group from Prince of Peace Lutheran came for a tour.
On Thursday, September 15th Gale and a group of people from Fairburn First Baptist came for a tour.
On Saturday, September 17th, a group of people from Sandy Creek Baptist Church came to help with our Blessing Boutique season changeover.
In September, we held our semi monthly “Raising Kingdom Kids” class. Participants earned a brand new crib and mattress for the coming babies.
On Friday and Saturday, September 23rd and 24th, we held our fall volunteer training class. We had 14 participants over the two day class!
On September 24th, Tonya took our mobile unit to the Senoia Car Show. Many people toured the unit, learned about our services, and we even recruited a driver for the unit!
On Monday, September 26th, Niki (nurse manager) and Diane (nurse volunteer) attended the Pop-Up Doc event at the Healing Bridge Clinic with Benjamin (our mobile medical unit).
On Monday, September 26th, we held our volunteer supplemental training and learned about the current national and state laws regarding abortion and how those are impacting our medical services at the Center.
On Tuesday, September 27th a representative from Clothes Less Traveled came for a tour.
