Fayette PRC
Our mission
Our vision
Our vision is to be the first source of help in our community for a woman and her family facing a pregnancy decision, suffering from a past abortion, or experiencing pregnancy-related needs.
Our history
Fayette PRC is a faith-based, nonprofit organization offering physical, spiritual, and emotional support to women, men, and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. We have been operating in Fayette County since May of 1994. Since we opened our doors we have had the privilege of serving thousands of women and families through free pregnancy testing, counseling, and resources for pregnancy and parenting.
In January of 2014, we officially opened our doors as a medical center and have expanded our services to include pregnancy testing done by a medical professional as well as limited ultrasounds. In addition to these expanded medical services we continue to offer assistance to women and families through their pregnancy and beyond by providing educational opportunities through our learning program, guidance from a client advocate, and resources through our clothes closet.
In 2019, our team acquired a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) after recognizing the need to take medical services outside the Center into the community. The MMU is a customized van where a registered nurse and her team provide pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, confidential counseling, and resource information. We park the unit in high-need, underserved areas so that vital pregnancy services are provided in a less formal setting.
