It has been an unexpected year for Benjamin, our mobile medical unit, beginning with COVID-19 restrictions and continuing with unforeseen mechanical issues. Benjamin has been receiving TLC for some electrical and battery problems. We want to ensure that he is functioning perfectly for the safety of our moms, dads, and mobile unit staff. Therefore, Benjamin will be taking a trip to Colorado for a complete head to toe check-up. Our partners at Save the Storks will be loaning us a mobile unit to use while Benjamin is away.

We are excited to announce the arrival of Emmanuel. This unit will look and function very similar to our own Benjamin. Emmanuel’s name and story is very fitting for this Christmas season. Emmanuel’s story begins in a pregnancy center in Silver Springs, MD. An abortion determined mom boarded their mobile unit in 2018. Mary believed that abortion was the only option because she’d just lost her job, her home, and was about to be deported to her native country where starvation was rampant. The nurse helped her find free housing through the church and a lawyer who fought her case and helped her find sanctum in the States. The pregnancy center met every need that the woman had and empowered her to choose life. When her baby was born, Mary named her attorney and nurse as the godparents to her son. She named her boy Emmanuel because she realized that God was with her throughout all the difficulties of her life up to that point. Now Mary serves alongside the Silver Springs pregnancy center and speaks at pro-life events.

As we face these unexpected problems with Benjamin, we know that through it all God is with us. He is truly our Emmanuel. What a blessing to receive the gift of this unit at this time!

We will be on the road for our mobile services with Emmanuel starting in January 2021. On Mondays, we will partner with the Pregnancy Care Center in Jonesboro to provide ultrasounds for their moms. Beginning in February, we will return to Healing Bridge Clinic in Peachtree City on Thursdays. Please continue to join us in prayer for God’s work to be done through this mobile ministry. If you are interested in serving on the mobile unit as a driver (men only) or peer counselor, please contact our Nurse Manager, Niki Garner, at nikig@fayetteprc.com.
